Breathtaking

New JTB Layout

I thought I'd let you know that I've just finalized the new layout for Just The Best. I already uploaded most of it last week, but put the finishing touches on it only this morning.

Thank you! :) I don't know about the splash of color. I tried yesterday morning to do the picture bar in color, but it didn't really work out. It's difficult with images of different movies, because they all have different lighting, quality, colors... so I guess for the time being it'll be black&white. :)

Where can I play your little competition? Do I email you, or must I expose my embarrassing lack of knowledge in front of [info]sueprano and [info]celosia?

THANK YOU SO MUCH, Fionna! I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It took me long enough. I've been wanting to do black/white for a while, but this is the first time I think it really turned out well. I consulted my little CSS book and found a couple of little things that helped fill the page, so to speak. I didn't want it too empty, but I also dislike cluttered sites.

But you know what part was the most difficult? Managing to get all those gorgeous Mark heads to at least approximately the same size! ;)

Now that you say it I realize I didn't explicitly write how to participate in the competition. E-mail will be just fine. But you can also post here on my LJ. Whatever you prefer. :) I guess it is somewhat difficult, since I took only more recent works of his.

Hi Fionna!
I am still working on the Mark contest but both Sienn and I will be posting something soon. We will be sure to have a big announcement for everyone.
We will be posting it on Livejournal,JTB,Simply Mark and maybe IMHFC. I am not sure about IMHFC since I really don't know the person who runs that.

I'm not sure about IMHFC either, to be honest. It's just been a little weird there on the message board recently. I don't know why the threads get deleted continuously, so there's always just one thread or so. And nobody ever comments! I think the little tease you posted last week or so does suffice. :)

Nice! Very clean looking. Stuff is easy to find and I really like the picture bar at the top, as well as that adorable smiling shot of him you've used for the front entrance page.

Thank you! I'm happy you like it! And that picture on the entry page. It's one of my all-time favorites. That smile is a killer! You automatically smile back at the screen, don't you? Must be a devastating effect in real life. :)

And I'm particularly satisfied that you find it all easy to navigate. Whew! :)

The site looks great. Clean and easy to navigate through but still with gorgeous images :D.

Now I need to spend some more time there drooling...

Thank you! I'm happy you like it! It was fun to put the header image together. A little tricky because all shots were of different qualities. Which is a big reason I made it black/white, aside from the fact that I just was in the mood for black/white. :)
