Mark Hamill Trading Cards

And no, I don't mean some Luke Skywalker STAR WARS trading card. This is going to be a veritable Mark Hamill trading card!

It will be released April 23 as part of the 2008 Donruss Americana Celebrity Cuts and it will look like this:

NOTE: The original WON'T look this reddish. Dunno what's up with that. The original pic I was sent doesn't have that reddish look on it. *shrugs*

Mark Donruss Trading Card

Additionally to this individual card, Mark will be featured on two more cards. He'll be on a Stardom Combo Signature Card with Dave Prowse and on a Stardom Quad Signature Card with Dave Prowse, Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams.

For extensive information on the entire card set and on ordering visit the website of the Donruss Trading Card Company.

I so want those!

Good grif they should have hired a better prepress guy... I mean the red color of his face - is this supposed to be this way?
I have to apologize for this. The original image of the card that I was sent doesn't have this reddish tint to his face. I don't know how that happened. I saved the image I was sent, but already that somehow changed its color. Maybe on purpose? I have no idea. On the actual card he definitely looks NORMAL. :)

I updated the post with a little note so that people will know this is NOT what it will look like.
Thank you, dear. Shall I try to fix it for you then?
If you can, that'd be awesome! :)
That's great that he's on a card! I think we're back to that issue of pro photos versus amateur ones again though - there are so many gorgeous photos of him around, and this one looks so formal and 'posed', if you know what I mean.
I also think it's stellar that he gets a card of his own. I'm particularly thrilled that it is not a Luke Skywalker-related card. *grins*

I actually like the photo series this is from (from when he was at Cannes in 2003 or 2004, I think), but they for sure didn't choose one of the best. I don't know what kind of people make these decisions... *shrugs*

Speaking of pro photos versus amateur ones... if you check out the Flickr ones, you'll be wishing for a pro. You just can't really look good when you're drenched in sweat and people stick their cameras practically up your nose! They took him at incredible angles... *shakes head* On the couple "normal" ones he looks cute as always, though. :)
It's not that it's a bad photo - just that he looks so sombre. I just love his smile, and it's a pity they didn't use one of those. But presumably they have a 'look' they want to go for on the cards and they felt this one was right. Either way, it's still lovely that there's a card made of him.

I've not checked the Flickr ones yet - going to do that tonight hopefully. But yes, candid photos can be very unforgiving. I've had a few taken of me where I wished I'd had a bag over my head!

I suppose they really were looking for somber. Then again, on their website there are a couple of other cards of the series shown... it's the women that smile. The men are more somber...

I guess Mark didn't dress well for the occasion. I mean, he obviously had too much on (and no, I don't mean it THAT way *lol*). He was just drenched after the speech. *grins*
