BTS of Mark voicing for NEW-GEN

The site for NEW-GEN is finally up and running. I, at least, had problems accessing it last week. Now it's up there, though, and it's great.

You can get a good idea of the style and all the characters, including Mark's. Remember, his character is called Gabriel.

The real treat is the Behind the Scenes section, though.

There is a very, very long video of Mark voicing Gabriel in the trailer. You see him work. It's super cool. You see how it works out, how he reads the sentences in different versions and everything. It's funny seeing him do the fight sounds and he's his usual captivating self.

If anybody finds out how to save this video stream, please let me know!

Downloading Video

I downloaded the latest version of Real Player and it allows you to download videos like this.

Re: Downloading Video

Really? That's cool. Can you give me a hint where I can download that version of Realplayer? And how do I go about downloading the video once I have the program?

Thanks a bunch in advance, and for the heads-up, too! :D

Re: Downloading Video

I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. Life just gets in my way sometimes... Anyway, go to http://realplayer.com/ and download the free version. Once you have it installed, go back to the site you want and realplayer will automatically ask you if you want to download the video. There's a little box that shows up at the top of the video asking you if you want to download it. Any video on the internet that isn't protected can be downloaded, including ones on Youtube. You can have a serious Markfest with it!

Re: Downloading Video

Thank you! I downloaded RealPlayer and have the video on my computer now. And I'll be having a serious Markfest with it, you bet on that. :D
This was wonderful! He's so funny, and I loved all the different versions he tried out. Do you find there are certain words he says that strike you as 'Mark Hamill'? I don't know if this makes sense. He takes on a totally different voice to do these characterisations, but the odd word makes his voice recognisable - to those of us infatuated enough to cling on to his every word, that is ;). Here, it was 'monster' with me!

Anyway, great link, and I did as your earlier commenter recommended and downloaded the latest Real Player. Great idea, though I spent a bit of time looking around the web page for the 'download' link, only to find it was at the top of the video itself, staring me in the face! *heads desk*

It was fascinating to watch. I always knew he'd be reading lines in different versions, but to actually hear it... it's amazing in just how many ways certain lines can be said! And he IS funny. I could watch him for hours. I was surprised at how physical the voiceacting got. I suppose it shouldn't have surprised me, though.

And I know what you mean, with words that strike you as Mark Hamill! I don't know whether I had one of those in that clip here, but I've had it in other clips, and occasionally in movies. :)
