There have been fires in Malibu again! News articles talk about 49 destroyed homes.

I haven't found any mention of Mark, thankfully. I hope this is a good sign.

Please keep him and his family in your thoughts. If you find any news blurt pertaining to him, please let us know!

There's finally been credible and authentic word on Mark and his family after the California wildfires last week.

Our fellow fan caryn_b  has pointed me to the website http://www.officialpix.com/. They have been to Mark's house for the exclusive signing they've announced a couple of months ago and report that Mark and his family are all well and that their house has not been affected by the flames.

Their entry is dated October 25.

I'm so happy to now know for sure that they're all safe and unharmed.

I actually wanted to post a link here, but Google somehow swallowed it. I've read it just half an hour ago, though.

The Malibu fires are contained and all residents are allowed to return.

If that is true, we can all take a deep breath and relax. There's still no new mention of Mark anywhere in the media. As far as I'm concerned that is a very good sign. If he had been seriously affected, we'd have read it somewhere by now.

Let's hope that reasoning is sound.

It says the Malibu fires are 75% contained and that residents are allowed to return. That does sound encouraging, doesn't it? I've found no mention of Mark's house having been affected. I hope this means they are now safe and can relax their guard.

Some of you might already have heard. The brushfires in California are also threatening Malibu. In fact, the way I understand the flood of news articles, many residents have already been evacuated.

Worse, I've found articles that claim Mark's house is one of the most endangered ones right now!

Please, everyone, keep him firmly in your thoughts and join me in wishing fervently for him and his family to be safe and for his house to be spared from the flames.
