BTS of Mark voicing for NEW-GEN

The site for NEW-GEN is finally up and running. I, at least, had problems accessing it last week. Now it's up there, though, and it's great.

You can get a good idea of the style and all the characters, including Mark's. Remember, his character is called Gabriel.

The real treat is the Behind the Scenes section, though.

There is a very, very long video of Mark voicing Gabriel in the trailer. You see him work. It's super cool. You see how it works out, how he reads the sentences in different versions and everything. It's funny seeing him do the fight sounds and he's his usual captivating self.

If anybody finds out how to save this video stream, please let me know!

Mark for Barack Obama - Video

Mark is endorsing Barack Obama as the Democrat's candidate for the presidential election later this year. Wednesday, April 9 Mark was at Point Park University in Pittsburgh to speak for Mr Obama after Anthony Daniels had inducted several robots, C-3PO among others, into their Robot Hall of Fame.

Here are a couple of video clips:

This also included a Question & Answer session and Mark signed autographs after his speech.

Thursday, April 10, he was at Robert Morris University for another speech. I haven't found any media of this so far.

Please let me know if you find any more videos!

Mark on "Jeannie" - Part II

Here is the next episode of the 1973 animated cartoon Jeannie in which Mark voiced Corey Anders. This should be Episode 9 of Season 1. No guarantee on that, though.

    "Hamilton" Movie Trailer

This should be a real goodie to all US Mark Hamill fans, since you've never had the good fortune to get your hands on "Hamilton", the 1998 movie in which Mark starred alongside Peter Stormare and Lena Olin as terrorist Michael Hawkins.

I found a trailer of the movie on YouTube. I think this is the theatrical trailer, but I don't know that for sure.

Do not let the Swedish scare you away. Mark talks English and he is in the trailer - he's announced by name and there's a short of one of his scenes. And even if you don't understand Swedish, there is enough English spoken so that you will understand what's going on.

This is one of the things I've always liked about the film. There is a mix of languages in the original. The Swedish guys are talking Swedish among themselves, but they have lots of dealings with US forces, with Russians etc. and then they speak English. So you can follow what's happening even if you're watching the original and don't know a syllable of Swedish.

"Hamilton" belongs to my favorite Mark movies. You can check out a short summary, DVD details and pics of Mark as Michael Hawkins on my website Just The Best.

    Brent Spiner on Mark

The website of the UK magazine SFX has an exclusive interview with Brent Spiner about his latest project, "Dreamland".

Mark voices for "Dreamland" and Brent briefly mentions getting him involved in the project.

"And Mark Hamill – that was just a lucky stroke! I knew Mark a little bit and my friend Mac who did the arrangements is good friends with him. So he asked Mark if he’d do it, and sent him a script - and he liked it! 'Let’s do it!'"

    The full interview is here.

If you want to see a documentary on the making of "Dreamland" and get a feel for what it's all about, take a look at this clip here. It also features a sequence on Mark at 5:45 minutes.

Mark on "Jeannie" - Part I

In 1973, Mark voiced Corey Anders in the animated series "Jeannie". It was one of his first voiceacting jobs ever.

On YouTube I was able to find three episodes of the show and I will be sharing them one by one. The first one happens to be the series' premiere, "Surfs Up!" and is up on YouTube in two parts.

    Mark on "Space Cases"

I'm back! No, really, I am. Only one exam left, all organisatorial things taken care of, caught up with all my LJ friends... I'm back in Markland! :)

And to celebrate this properly I want to share with you some video goodies that our fellow Mark fan [info]celosia brought to my attention.

Mark guest-starred in the third episode of Season 1 of the show "Space Cases". If you want to know more of the show and the other episodes, visit http://www.spacecasestv.com.

The episode Mark guest-starred in is called A Day in the Life. Click on the title to find a summary.

To actually see the episode, follow the links below. It's up on YouTube in three parts. Mark plays a member of the Ferna Hernan alien race. He's in heavy make-up, but I think very recognizable all the same. The name of his character is Pel. Next to him in the role of the Ferna Herna Jin is his friend and creator of the series, Bill Mumy.

    Not Listening

    'Thank You, Good Night' Soundtrack

Three of the songs from the award-winning independent movie "Thank You, Good Night", in which Mark played Karl Kaufman, are now officially available for download at iTunes.

The article I found at PRWeb also said that Netflix will have the film up for rent online in fall this year. You can buy the DVD at Amazon.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I own the DVD and hope to watch it some time soon.

    Cool

    Awesome Website Find

I found this website yesterday, but had to leave for university and didn't have the time to share.

You absolutely HAVE to take a look at it and you absolutely HAVE to download all these goodies. There are plenty of "behind-the-scenes" video files from the making of all "Wing Commander" games, as well as video files of Mark interviews. He's featured heavily in all of it and much of it is so hilarious. He's so funny and there is a number of bloopers, too.

Here's the link: Wing Commander Holovids.

Check them all out and let's talk about them! Watching the "Making Of" of Prophecy, it seems slimy goo is one of Mark's secret pleasures. *lol*
