BTS of Mark voicing for NEW-GEN

The site for NEW-GEN is finally up and running. I, at least, had problems accessing it last week. Now it's up there, though, and it's great.

You can get a good idea of the style and all the characters, including Mark's. Remember, his character is called Gabriel.

The real treat is the Behind the Scenes section, though.

There is a very, very long video of Mark voicing Gabriel in the trailer. You see him work. It's super cool. You see how it works out, how he reads the sentences in different versions and everything. It's funny seeing him do the fight sounds and he's his usual captivating self.

If anybody finds out how to save this video stream, please let me know!

Mark for Barack Obama - Video

Mark is endorsing Barack Obama as the Democrat's candidate for the presidential election later this year. Wednesday, April 9 Mark was at Point Park University in Pittsburgh to speak for Mr Obama after Anthony Daniels had inducted several robots, C-3PO among others, into their Robot Hall of Fame.

Here are a couple of video clips:

This also included a Question & Answer session and Mark signed autographs after his speech.

Thursday, April 10, he was at Robert Morris University for another speech. I haven't found any media of this so far.

Please let me know if you find any more videos!

Mark on "Jeannie" - Part II

Here is the next episode of the 1973 animated cartoon Jeannie in which Mark voiced Corey Anders. This should be Episode 9 of Season 1. No guarantee on that, though.

    "Hamilton" Movie Trailer

This should be a real goodie to all US Mark Hamill fans, since you've never had the good fortune to get your hands on "Hamilton", the 1998 movie in which Mark starred alongside Peter Stormare and Lena Olin as terrorist Michael Hawkins.

I found a trailer of the movie on YouTube. I think this is the theatrical trailer, but I don't know that for sure.

Do not let the Swedish scare you away. Mark talks English and he is in the trailer - he's announced by name and there's a short of one of his scenes. And even if you don't understand Swedish, there is enough English spoken so that you will understand what's going on.

This is one of the things I've always liked about the film. There is a mix of languages in the original. The Swedish guys are talking Swedish among themselves, but they have lots of dealings with US forces, with Russians etc. and then they speak English. So you can follow what's happening even if you're watching the original and don't know a syllable of Swedish.

"Hamilton" belongs to my favorite Mark movies. You can check out a short summary, DVD details and pics of Mark as Michael Hawkins on my website Just The Best.

    Brent Spiner on Mark

The website of the UK magazine SFX has an exclusive interview with Brent Spiner about his latest project, "Dreamland".

Mark voices for "Dreamland" and Brent briefly mentions getting him involved in the project.

"And Mark Hamill – that was just a lucky stroke! I knew Mark a little bit and my friend Mac who did the arrangements is good friends with him. So he asked Mark if he’d do it, and sent him a script - and he liked it! 'Let’s do it!'"

    The full interview is here.

If you want to see a documentary on the making of "Dreamland" and get a feel for what it's all about, take a look at this clip here. It also features a sequence on Mark at 5:45 minutes.

Mark on "Jeannie" - Part I

In 1973, Mark voiced Corey Anders in the animated series "Jeannie". It was one of his first voiceacting jobs ever.

On YouTube I was able to find three episodes of the show and I will be sharing them one by one. The first one happens to be the series' premiere, "Surfs Up!" and is up on YouTube in two parts.

    Mark on "Space Cases"

I'm back! No, really, I am. Only one exam left, all organisatorial things taken care of, caught up with all my LJ friends... I'm back in Markland! :)

And to celebrate this properly I want to share with you some video goodies that our fellow Mark fan [info]celosia brought to my attention.

Mark guest-starred in the third episode of Season 1 of the show "Space Cases". If you want to know more of the show and the other episodes, visit http://www.spacecasestv.com.

The episode Mark guest-starred in is called A Day in the Life. Click on the title to find a summary.

To actually see the episode, follow the links below. It's up on YouTube in three parts. Mark plays a member of the Ferna Hernan alien race. He's in heavy make-up, but I think very recognizable all the same. The name of his character is Pel. Next to him in the role of the Ferna Herna Jin is his friend and creator of the series, Bill Mumy.

    The Mark Week

I've been busy researching the availability of Mark's movies and voiceovers during the past week. You can access it all on Just The Best. There are separate lists for Movies on DVD, Movies on VHS, Voiceovers on DVD, Voiceovers on VHS and Voiceovers on CD. I found some real gems, so you should take a moment and check it all out.

I also found a cute, short Mark interview on YouTube. It's an on-set interview from when he did "Wing Commander 4". The first part is with Tom Wilson, the second part with Mark. Short, but nice.

I also found out that Mark narrated the featurette "Green Arrow: The Legend Of The Emerald Archer" on the DVD box for the 6th season of "Smallville". Go check out DVDTalk for all relevant information.

    Very Touching Video Clips

I just found these at "YouTube".

These two videos are from a show where they discuss the charity organization "Children Helping Poor And Homeless People", where Mark's been involved for a very long time.

The first video has a short interview with him, in the second video the founders of the charity organization talk about him and all his family. Take the twenty minutes it needs and watch those.

You should make yourself comfortable in front of your computer and make a little trip to YouTube. An assortment of great Mark videos has been uploaded.

There is a behind-the-scenes video of Mark voicing Wolverine, in the computer game X2: Wolverine's Revenge. You can see him actually voice the character, and he's commenting on it.

    Mark on 'Wolverine'

Then there are four clips from the movie Time Runner up, in which Mark played the lead hero Michael Raynor

    'Time Runner' Part 1
    'Time Runner' Part 2
    'Time Runner' Part 3
    'Time Runner' Part 4

There's also a first part of Mark on the series Amazing Stories, where he starred in the episode Gather Ye Acorns:

    Trying To Catch Up

I haven't gotten around to posting during the last couple of days and I apologize for that. This week was crazy; too much to do and too little time. Of course much of it is my own fault, since, to be straightforward with you, I'm totally chaotic. ;) I need to do one thing at a time instead of everything at once...

Anyway, I haven't got much Mark to share right now, expect that I want to point you to all the lovely links Hope has posted. I gathered them in today's update at Just The Best, or you can just dip to the entry below and read all the comments she gave to it. There are plenty of Mark images and a Mark video.

The point of this entry... Actually, I just wanted you all to know that I'm in the process of cooking some things up. 'S all. :)

Can't break the flow while it's so strong, right? Here are some more images I found. I'll be gone until tomorrow afternoon, so it might be Friday morning, German time, until I will have more again. But these should tend you over the wait.

I also found the original video clip of the radio show Heart Breakfast. I know you've already seen the YouTube clip, but this one here is in sync. Mark's gestures and movements match the answers, so that's cool.

And let's not forget the yellow press. It's loving Mark right now. :)

    Fancy

    So Much Mark - Videos!

So I'll try to do this in some kind of ordered way. Already I have found PLENTY of media from Celebration Europe and I suspect this is only the beginning, as people return home and get their stuff ordered. So let's start. You're going to love this.

First there is an article at The Sun Online. They had Mark and Dave Prowse meet up for a photo shooting and an interview. There are great pics and there's a video clip from the photo shoot as well!!! Rex Features has a large collection of shots from the shooting as well.

So that's that, but of course there is MORE.

There is a video clip of Mark at the Opening Ceremony of the celebration, where he's introducing Ian McDiarmid and does the Joker! He's so brilliant and funny!!! There is another video of the Opening Ceremony at the Official STAR WARS Blog. It's better quality, but you don't see as much of Mark and you don't hear him speak because it's dubbed over with a SW theme.

Mark was guest on a radio show called Heart Breakfast. Check out the video on YouTube! It's somewhat out of sync and I had some trouble understanding some things, but I'm sure native English speakers will fare much better than I did.

Then there's a wonderful GMTV webcast of Mark online. Thanks go to [info]sueprano for pointing this one out.

Then there's the interview Mark gave on a BBC 2 radio show. The interview will start playing once you load this site. Use the buttons to fast-forward to 2:40:00 and wait for the song to end for Mark to come on.

I'll be back soon with a post on Mark images that I have found. :)

    Cool

Very short clip, but it's Mark!

I haven't posted in more than three weeks. *sighs* I really can't wait to be finished with my diploma thesis and return to all my Mark-related internet activities.

This morning I needed some distraction, so I went and browsed around YouTube.

I found this short video of the 1985 Night of 100 Stars gala. When the ladies start walking the male celebrities down, Mark's first in line. He doesn't say anything and it's only a couple of seconds that we see him, but that's better than nothing and despite the grainy picture, he's easily recognizable. :D

    Enjoy!

Bloopers of Mark on "V.I.P. - The Bodyguards"

I found these videos yesterday by pure accident and I'm so in love with them. I mean, I generally adore bloopers, and all the more so if they feature Mark, of course. :) And I happen to love his episode of V.I.P.. It's titled The U.N.C.L.E. from Val, by the way.

    Here's the first video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wQ_dtRaTFA&mode=related&search=

Mark's bloopers are all within the first three minutes of it. For anybody who hasn't seen the show, when he and Pamela are sneaking through the corridors and come to the open door - the door's supposed to be closed. :)

Wanna see Mark collide with a camera? *grins*

    Here goes the second video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z3466vf9ks.

Very, very funny. This is at around 50 seconds into the clip. Then again at 1:33... HILARIOUS! :)

    What do you think?

    Not Listening

    Some Google Findings

I was doing some googling yesterday to try and find more information on Mark's upcoming movie, or more pics of last Monday's event. Found none of that, but still some goodies I hadn't seen before.

If you go to http://www.themikedouglasshow.com/multimedia.htm, you can see a very short clip of Mark, Carrie and Harrison on the "Mike Douglas Show". This must have been in 1977, very soon after the premiere of STAR WARS. Mark doesn't say anything, but at least we see him! No comment on the clothes, though...! *lol* But of course it was "in" at the time....

Then I found two pics which are much more recent. One with Debi Derryberry and some unknown guy, which I found on Debi's website. I assume this was taken either in 2003 or 2004. The other has been taken in 2004 on a Q&A session for the release of the STAR WARS OT on DVD.
