Mark for Barack Obama - Video

Mark is endorsing Barack Obama as the Democrat's candidate for the presidential election later this year. Wednesday, April 9 Mark was at Point Park University in Pittsburgh to speak for Mr Obama after Anthony Daniels had inducted several robots, C-3PO among others, into their Robot Hall of Fame.

Here are a couple of video clips:

This also included a Question & Answer session and Mark signed autographs after his speech.

Thursday, April 10, he was at Robert Morris University for another speech. I haven't found any media of this so far.

Please let me know if you find any more videos!

Cool

Back & Bearing News

I just finished listening to yesterday's issue of Better Things. I can't tell you how happy I am that Mark decided to go back to the "no news, no weather, no finances" approach. Again, the last show where they were leafing through the then-current issue of "USA Today" was mighty interesting, but just like Mark says, the weekend is for relaxation and how better to relax than by laughing and grinning for about 2 hours straight listening to him on that show?

I was getting jealous, too, because there are so many new series coming up on US TV. It'll be forever until we get them here. *rolls eyes* I'd especially love a new sitcom. Ever since "The Nanny", "Home Improvement" and "3rd Rock from the Sun" there hasn't been a new sitcom that really got me hooked.

Anyway, back to Mr Mark "Awesome" Hamill.

[info]celosia found out that Issue #97 of the "STAR WARS Insider" will feature an all-new exclusive Mark Hamill interview! YAY! I can't wait! Apparently there'll be 2 covers for this. The cover of the newsstands edition and a special collectors cover with Mark on it. You can see them on Wookieepedia.

It's going to come out on October 23 in the US and on October 25 in the UK.

How cool is that?

Check out this article at Slice of SciFi.

The lightsaber Mark used in STAR WARS is heading for space and it's even going to have an escort! It's things like this that drive home just what an impact STAR WARS has had on our culture; that official, scientific organizations are doing something like that to celebrate the 30th anniversary of six movies! Amazing!

And I'm very tickled that they chose Luke's lightsaber, not Anakin's. Sorry to all the Ani gals out there, but I'm a Luke lover, and will always be. :)

Pout

Why does Mark pout?

Probably because of this:

"When Luke is training with Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back, he had to bump his head on his roof 16 times before the director was happy with the scene."

I found this little bit of information in an article at The Daily Record which claims to present 30 things you never knew about the original Star Wars trilogy.

Of course I am appropriately sorry for poor Mark, yet I can't help imagine him crawl out of Yoda's hut to totter uncertainly over to his chair and give Irvin Kershner the silent treatment for the rest of the day. *lol*

Stunning

I wonder whether this is authentic...

My Mark Hamill Yahoo!Alert sent me to this site yesterday.

Daily Mail Article

I wonder whether this is an authentic piece of news. It sounds like any STAR WARS fan's dream come true; actually, it sounds almost too good to be true. Has anyone heard anything about this? I suppose Channel 4 is a UK channel, right?

I'm not quite sure whether I should allow my hopes to get up and excitement to make me jittery or whether I should be suspicious about this. Hmmm...

Any thoughts on the matter?
